What we store on your device when you use ascenai.io, why each item exists, and exactly how to remove it.
This policy applies to ascenai.io and the AscenAi accounting portal, operated by Ascendum Corporate Advisory LLC. It sits alongside our privacy notice and explains cookies and equivalent browser storage such as localStorage and sessionStorage.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to keep. On each later request the browser sends it back, which is how a site recognises the same session. We also use browser storage, which stays on your device and is not sent with every request. Both are covered here.

What we do not do
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No selling or sharing of cookie data with data brokers.
- No cookies that read your accounting records or bank credentials.
Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site storage for a specific site — usually under Settings › Privacy › Cookies and site data. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent the portal from loading your books. Clearing preference or analytics storage is safe at any time.

When we add or remove a cookie category we update this page and the effective date below. Material changes are announced inside the portal as well.
